Breathe Solar, 2022
This project was a study on adaptive structures and implementing them into renewable solar panels for the future of electric vehicles. Running out of battery and unavailability of charging stations is an impending problem and common worry of customers when buying an EV.
To solve this problem, I conceptualized a portable solar panel for EVs that would react to the amount of sunlight absorbed to provide visual feedback to the user. This can be achieved by using plant-based reactive biomaterials, which can expand and contract depending on the presence of sunlight.
